James Conti - Founder of NJCS

Jim spent the majority of his three decades in financial services at a dynamic career with Goldman Sachs & Co. Within the Equities Trading Division, Jim’s role as Managing Director was to collaborate with his clientele in achieving their financing and investment objectives within their respective strategies.

While Jim successfully managed numerous high-profile client relationships, he also played a critical role in helping to bring his team to industry and international prestige. He played a significant role in mentoring and coaching many junior and peer colleagues to go onto prominent and successful careers.

As an alumnus of Jersey City’s St Peter’s University, Jim’s passion for the school and its diverse student body brought him to his current role as a Board of Trustee member. Jim complements his board work by working with the campus Career Center mentoring students and helping them to obtain thriving roles in the global workforce.

Jim’s foundational belief that education and its ability to instill knowledge and more importantly; confidence, has played a primary role on his path into the world of the New Jersey Coffee School. Mentoring and coaching are both practices he plans to bring to the coffee community where student journeys can culminate in long-lasting success.

In his spare time, Jim loves sharing and preparing great meals with friends and family, reading just about anything and any activity involving a bicycle and Velominati Rule 2.
