Prerequisite: No prior experience is required.
This 2-Day comprehensive Barista Training Package is recommended for anyone who wants to develop or expand their barista knowledge and skills to the next level. This includes potential coffee shop owners who either want to work in their cafes or who want to train their own baristas; budding or experienced baristas who want to learn the craft or expand their knowledge and skills; coffee enthusiasts who are considering becoming a baristas; coffee shop baristas, supervisors, and managers that will be responsible for training other baristas. This in-depth intensive class combines our Barista Training Level 1 and Level 2 classes and is designed to provide baristas looking to acquire the essential coffee knowledge and skills required to produce consistent high-quality coffee, espresso, and non-espresso-based beverages. In addition, the class places emphasis on an in-depth knowledge of coffee science, health and safety protocols, and the client service aspects that baristas need to focus on, including providing excellent customer service, basic business practices, and other essential knowledge and skills needed to excel in a cafe.

This class will cover everything from espresso extraction, grinding techniques, and milk steaming; to the equipment and skills required to make consistent high-quality hot and cold espresso and non-espresso-based drinks. In addition, this class will provide learnings about bean varietals, processing methods, regional taste and roasting profiles (the bean to cup chain); troubleshooting for optimal taste; how to dial-in machines to achieve taste preferences; providing excellent customer service; and gaining a greater understanding of workstation and operational efficiency, health and safety protocols, and much more.
Included with your class is a Student Manual and New Jersey Coffee School Certificate of Completion
Class sizes are kept small, and we provide extensive hands-on training and coaching, working with commercial coffee equipment in our state-of-the-art coffee lab. This course is comprehensive and provides a substantial opportunity for anyone interested in taking their barista and business owner knowledge and skills to an advanced level.
